This award recognizes the effectiveness of Urban AI approach in training Early Career researchers and expanding the urban research team in the AI age. The funded projects “Urban Digital Twin Integration for Energy Optimization in Indoor-Outdoor Campus Environments” (Ashrant Aryal and Xinyue Ye) and “Human-Centered Data-Driven Decision Making for Integrated (Re)Zoning and Evacuation Planning” (Xiaofeng Nie and David Eckman) will greatly integrate urban knowledge with data science and AI.
The Urban AI Lab, initiated in 2022, is the only Thematic Lab established and funded by TAMIDS in the School of Architecture.
